Murray Contractors was selected as Construction Manager for Friendship Garland Addition. The Garland School addition is a 9,000 SF stand alone classroom addition to the existing historic campus.  The project was completed on an accelerated 8 month construction schedule and was completed under budget.  Six day work weeks and extended work days were common throughout the project to achieve the substantial completion date.  The project was designed and built during the COVID pandemic so there were many unknown variables at play. Multiple structural systems were examined from a life cycle, initial cost, and material availability standpoint to determine the best solution.  The team at ECO Construction worked closely with the design team in this situation to ensure the best solution was utilized.
