Description:

Murray Contractors partnered with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to deliver a highly specialized ISO certified cleanroom pharmacy designed to support the hospital’s growing pharmaceutical and compounding needs. This project required precise coordination, strict environmental controls, and meticulous attention to detail to meet the regulatory standards governing sterile compounding environments.

The scope included the complete construction of a state of the art cleanroom suite, featuring segregated compounding areas, advanced air-handling and filtration systems, seamless cleanroom finishes, and pressure-controlled work zones. Every element from material selection to mechanical system integration was executed to uphold the integrity and performance required for a compliant sterile environment.

Working within an active healthcare facility, the Murray Contractors team carefully planned logistics, sequencing, and infection control measures to ensure safety and minimize disruptions to hospital operations. Close collaboration with UAMS stakeholders, design partners, and commissioning specialists ensured that the cleanroom met both the functional needs of pharmacy staff and the rigorous standards set by regulatory bodies.

The completed cleanroom pharmacy provides UAMS with a modern, efficient, and compliant compounding environment that enhances patient safety, supports high quality pharmaceutical services, and strengthens the institution’s ability to meet future clinical demands.
